The following individuals comprise of the senior leadership of Cambridge Business Group, Inc.

John C. Conant is the Founder, President and CEO of CBG, Inc. Since its establishment in 1987, the company has experienced strong growth and has transformed CBG, Inc. into a leading international consulting firm which include three strategic alliances. As CEO, John is CBG, Inc.'s primary decision maker and policy maker, setting the tone for the company's values, ethics and culture.

John personifies CBG, Inc’s., commitment to delivering the highest quality services to its clients around the world. He has built a reputation for his strong work ethic, results- oriented consensus building and exceptional ability to forge and maintain major client relationships.

Prior to CBG, Inc., John was the Group Vice President with The SCA Group and a Senior Executive with Proudfoot Consulting, designing and implementing improvement strategies and processes for a wide variety of organizations in the manufacturing, financial service and insurance industries. He also has been a guest speaker at various business and international conferences.

John received his Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Business Education from the University of Florida and a Business Degree from Burdett College in Boston, MA. He has taken numerous courses in management from the Whittemore School of Business at the University of New Hampshire.

John has served on the Board of Directors for Loon Resorts and is a sponsor for many community organizations. He also served in the United States Marine Corp.

Arlen F. Kumpula joined CBG, Inc., in 2001 and is its Executive Vice President. In this position, he is responsible for the overall growth, development and results delivery for the International Division of CBG, Inc.. Arlen also serves as the chief analyst and conducts quality reviews for each of our client engagements in the USA and International locations.

Prior to joining CBG, Inc., Arlen held a variety of positions with The SCA Group for thirty years implementing process improvement results with major corporations in various industries. As the Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Arlen spent ten years in Europe building the practice. He has extensive international experience in providing professional services to our European clients. Arlen has been a guest speaker at several conferences including:
  • Work Management Seminars for Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS)
  • Irish Business Association Conference (IBAC) Ireland
Arlen has also been a frequent contributor to the Mastering Management Review, a periodical for one of Europe's leading magazines. He has further co-authored publications on structural plastics for commercial aircraft carriers and material applications for aerospace and computer industry.

Arlen received his Bachelors Degree in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota. He is also an avid golfer.

Jon E. Paul is Vice President of Operations and is responsible for the Implementation and Results Delivery programs for all domestic engagements. Jon has twenty-eight years experience in the consulting industry helping financial service organizations improve operational effectiveness by developing, listening and implementing results using a composite of methods and diagnostic tools. Jon joined CBG, Inc., in 1989.

Prior to joining CBG, Inc., Jon was the Chief Operating Officer for a large Third Party Administrator, responsible for all Operations and IT initiatives. Jon was also Director of Operations with The SCA Group and worked with Alexander Proudfoot Company implementing process improvement results.

Jon is the co-author of CBG, Inc’s., Navigator Models, a series of methodologies that generate the performance improvement results for our clients. He has attended numerous seminars including: Management, Reengineering, Total Quality Management, Six Sigma and Process Simulation Modeling.

Jon received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin. He also spent four years in the United States Air Force as a controller.

Sheena Clohessy is Vice President of our International Operations. She is responsible for all phases of the implementation and results delivery programs for our European and Republic of Ireland clients. Sheena joined CBG, Inc., in 1999.

Prior to joining CBG, Inc., Sheena formed Clohessy Consulting with focus on organizational development projects in the private and public service. She also worked for Shannon Aerospace as an employee relations specialist. She was responsible for their Training School Curriculum that employed three hundred trainers.

Sheena has conducted many workshops for companies undergoing major changes toward "Building Bridges". She has also taken numerous courses and attended various seminars along with her application and implementation skills and has developed the expertise for the following areas:
  • Salary and Benefit Packages
  • Knowledge of Innovative Personnel Policies
  • Computerization of Records
  • Organization Design
Sheena received her Bachelor of Science Degrees in Business Administration and Personnel Management from the University of Limerick, Ireland.

Fred Merril, CPA, is the Controller for CBG, Inc., since 2011. In his leadership role, Fred is responsible for the company’s financial activities, including financial and performance management, capital strategy, planning and investment management.
